The Department of Agricultural Engineering was established in 2016 and offers a 4-year B.Tech. degree programme in Agricultural Engineering. The programme is designed to provide students with practical training in the latest technologies in agricultural engineering. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and has qualified faculty and technical staff members. To impart practical knowledge of crop production from sowing to harvesting, the department has a farm with a well-equipped plant breeding laboratory, greenhouses and an agrometeorological station. The department has an exclusive agricultural machinery training centre, a fully automated and centralised irrigation system in the field and an agricultural processing laboratory where state-of-the-art technologies are demonstrated.
