Dr.R.Kumutha received ISTE – Periyar Award for the Best Engineering College Teacher - 2016 in the 19th ISTE TN & P section Annual Convention for Engineering Faculty Members held on 2nd and 3rd December 2016.

Dr.R.Kumutha received Prof.K.Arumugam National Award for Innovative work in Engineering & Technology in the 44th ISTE National Convention, College of Engg., Trivandrum

Dr.K.Vijai delivered a Oral Presentation on “External Confinement of Plain and reinforced Concrete Columns using PVC pipes” in the 2nd International Conference on Structural, Architectural and Civil Engineering held in Dubai – UAE on 19th and 20th November 2016

Grants Received

Received a research grant of Rs.10,000 from TNSCST under STUDENT PROJECT SCHEME for the project titled “Hibiscus leaves as binding agent for cement based mortar” in the year 2018.

Dr.R.Kumutha received a research grant of Rs.4.46 Lakhs from University Grants Commission under Minor Research Projects Scheme in the year 2016 for the research project titled ‘Cement free paver blocks using fly ash based geopolymer Composites’.

Received a research grant of Rs.3.65 Lakhs from University Grants Commission under Minor Research Projects Scheme in the year 2016 for the research project titled “Development of low cost roofing elements for rural housing using geopolymer Composites”.

Received a grant of Rs.7,00,000 from AICTE, New Delhi and organized Faculty Development Programme on Limit State Design of Steel Structures from 07-11-2017 To 20-11-2017.

Received a grant of Rs.10000 from ISTE and organized National Seminar on Seismic Resistant Design of Masonry and Reinforced Concrete Structures from 23-08-2017 To 24-08-2017.

Received a grant of Rs.5,000 from ISTE( TN & P Section) for a National Conference on “ Recent Advancements in Construction Materials and Concrete Technology” in the year 2016.

One week FDTP on “Structural Analysis I” approved by Anna University, Chennai from 01.06.2016 to 07.06.2016.

One week FDTP on “Structural Analysis II” approved by Anna University, Chennai from 12.12.2016 to 18.12.2016.
