The Department has well equipped laboratories for doing research in various areas of civil engineering. Our department has been approved as Research centre by Anna University , Chennai to carry out research in the field of Civil Engineering.

Our faculty members Dr.M.Radhakrishnan and Dr.C.Mekala are the recognized supervisors of Anna University, Chennai. The department has 8 Ph.D. holders. Our faculty members are doing research in the area of Concrete Technology, Bio Diesel recovery from waste water, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Soil Stabilization and Solidwaste management etc. Research and Development
