About Us

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML) is a rapidly evolving field in computer science focused on extracting valuable insights from data and building intelligent systems. Established in 2022, our AI&ML department offers a 4-year B.E program with an intake of 60 students, aiming to equip them with advanced computational skills and practical knowledge. The curriculum is designed to balance theory and hands-on experience, emphasizing project-based learning, internships, and industry collaborations to prepare students for real-world challenges. Alongside technical expertise, we focus on enhancing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, ensuring that our graduates are well-rounded professionals ready to drive innovation and make meaningful contributions to society.

Dean of the Department

Dr. S. Siva Ranjini is the Professor and Dean (CSE and IT) of Sethu Institute of Technology. She is a well-experienced and dedicated teacher with more than 16 years of service in academics and research. She has published papers in more than 15 international peer-reviewed journals and attended over 20 conferences. She is a recognized supervisor at Anna University and has produced three doctorates. She received the prestigious “Lilavati Award” in 2022 from AICTE.

Head of the Department

Dr. B. Guruprakash is the Associate Professor and Head of the Department. With an extensive teaching career spanning 19 years, he has gained vast expertise in academia and research. Over the past 8 years, he has been an integral part of this institution, contributing significantly to its academic growth and development. His dedication to research is evident through his publication of 5 papers in reputed journals, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field. Additionally, he has actively participated in more than 15 conferences, where he has presented his research findings and engaged in discussions with scholars and experts from various domains. His experience, leadership, and contributions continue to inspire students and faculty members alike.
